The story starts where an ordinary Japanese lady Sachiko Mishima, is chosen to go to Haiti as a dispatch member of the Ministry for Foreign Affairs. Sachiko is shocked when she realizes that she had mistaken Haiti and Tahiti and taken that roll. Though the two countries sound very similar, Haiti is a country with the worst poverty in the western hemisphere, and Tahiti is the king of resort, often said to be called as heaven of the earth.

Arriving in Haiti she sees the poor infrastructure and a totally different environment that she has never experienced. Though feeling hopeless, she gradually discovers that the people in Haiti are full of love and smile…
